Hilltop Energy's Role & Commitment
HIlltop represents the interests of their Members and works hard to negotiate discount pricing on fuels and other desired products and services for the Membership. Our administrators are always accessible to help answer any questions or resolve any issues Members may have. Feel free to contact Keith any time at 802-488-0351 or via email.
Rental Properties & Multiple Delivery Addresses
You will need an individual membership for each property or family residence you wish to cover under a Hilltop fuel plan. Your annual fuel consumption will not be averaged across all your accounts but per residence or household address.
Who handle service issues with provider?
Your fuel provider should be contacted directly for any questions or concerns you have regarding billing or service issues. If you feel you need to escalate an issue that is not being resolved feel free to contact Hilltop and we will provide you the necessary support.
I have an underground tank from another provide, will that need to be dug up?
No - the provider will arrange to "swap" a tank with your current provider thus, your lawn will NOT need to be torn apart.
My current provider owns my propane tank, can I still join?
Yes.  Providers WILL set new tanks at no charge if you have a tank owned by your current provider. If the tank is an underground tank they will arrange to "swap" a tank with your current provider thus, your lawn will NOT need to be torn apart.
How long is my Membership good for if I join?
The membership dues are annual and Membership term is from July 1 to June 30 for a calendar year.  Your fuel discount for purchases is valid through these dates and Member terms of agreement. View your Terms of Agreement for updated information and dates.

Promotions, Sponsors & Terms

Hilltop actively solicits local businesses to offer our Membership special offers on goods & services. Below you will find information regarding promotions we run & how they work.​​ We refer to these participating businesses as "Sponsors".

Why is a "Reserve Fee" required in order for me to secure some promotional offers?
Some offers may be limited in quantity and Hilltop wants to insure that only Members who are genuinely interested in redeeming offers get them and discourage members who may only have a faint interest in the promotion. The fee shows a commitment on the part of the Member to the Sponsor.
Can "Reserve Fees" be refunded if I am not happy with Sponsor?
In most cases no. If you are that dissatisfied with a Sponsor please document your statement and email to hilltopenergy@icloud.com. Someone will review your statement and follow-up with you to discuss and provide an answer or course of action. Please include contact information for yourself & Sponsor, name and number of promotion and a detailed summary of issue.
Why are some "Reserve Fees" refunded by the Sponsor and others not?
  • Sponsors may choose to refund your Reserve Fee or apply it to your final invoice. This will always be stated in their terms.
  • Their may be associated costs with Hilltop promoting or setting up the offer with the Sponsor that are covered by the fee that the Sponsor does not wish to incur.
Why are their expiration dates on some promotional offers?
Hilltop works with Sponsors in building their promotions to meet many objectives for them and for our Membership. Expiration dates may accomplish the following:
  1. Prompt Members to take advantage of an offer in a timely manner.
  2. Meets objectives of the Sponsor to fill in their work schedule during off peak times of the year.
  3. Promotes an item with limited or restricted (seasonal) inventory.
  4. Helps provider manage or test ability to fulfill offer to Members for expansion/modification in future promotions. We want to avoid over booking by Sponsors who may have a difficult time fulfilling their obligations.
Who do I contact if I have an issue with a Sponsor?
Issue resolution should first be handled directly with the Sponsor. Hilltop does screen Sponsors and does not guarantee workmanship or merchandise provided by the Sponsor, ultimately it is up to the Member to qualify the Sponsor for ratings and other performance criteria.

Hilltop is interested in being involved in an issue if Sponsor:
  • Neglects to fulfill promotional offer.
  • Fails to contact Member in 3-10 business days after Member claims promotion.

  • Is unprofessional or provides substandard product or services

Each promotion Hilltop runs will include its own set of simple terms that we define with the Sponsor. It is important that you understand & agree to these terms when you commit to the offer. If you feel additional descriptions for the offer would benefit Members please contact us and let us know so we can make the appropriate updates to insure clear and concise information about what is being offered.
